Fair things to ask.
How long does it take?
Most prototypes take four to eight weeks depending on scope. We commit to a date after the audit, not before. A date given before anyone has read the code is a guess.
Is it a fixed price?
Yes, after the audit. The audit itself is small and priced separately, so you can stop there if you want to.
Can we start with just one service?
Of course. Most clients start with the audit or with code rescue, then add the rest once they trust us.
What do you need from us during the project?
About half an hour a week, and quick answers when we're blocked. That's genuinely most of it.
What if we want changes halfway through?
Small ones absorb. Anything that moves the launch date, you hear about before we start it, not after.
Who owns the code?
You do, throughout. It's your repo and your accounts from the first day, not handed over at the end.
What if the audit says it isn't viable?
We tell you. That's what the audit is for, and hearing it in week one is cheaper than hearing it in week six.
Do you work with our existing developers?
Yes, and it usually goes better. They know things about the product that would take us a week to learn.
What happens after launch?
You get the runbook and the documentation. Ongoing support is available if you want it, and nothing breaks if you don't.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, before we look at anything.
